Masterpiece In Motion is a n international
competition for original visual art and graphics for the
snow & skate
board canvases. This event is to be held as an integral
part of the 12th Annual TELUS World Ski & Snowboard
Festival, April 13th to 22nd 2007, at the renowned Whistler
resort in British Columbia, Canada. Artwork from thirty selected
finalist will be on display at functions, events and official
web sites throughout the ten days of festival activities
as a key focal point for the festival's creative spirit.
Submitted art will be judged by a jury of respected members
of the creative and board riding community with value placed
on successful presentation of the vitality and creative energy
for which snow and skate board riders o f all disciplines
are known.
The Masterpiece In Motion Champion will receive
$ 1,000 USD, an Ascension Snowboard featuring the winning
art and the opportunity to work with Ascension Snowboards
to develop a line of snowboards featuring the winner's Snowboard
Art.
1st runner up: $500 USD
2nd runner up: $300 USD
Top 3 Honorable Mentions: An Original Snow or Skate

A “Peoples Choice” award winner for the best
art as voted for online at whistler 2007.com by festival
attendees and followers will receive special prizes and recognition
from the Masterpiece In Motion Snowboard Festival organizers
and sponsors.
