FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FESTIVAL TO OPEN WITH MELT-WORTHY
SLOPESIDE FASHION SHOW LG Electronics Canada plans
white-hot launch for Whistler’s TELUS
World Ski & Snowboard Festival
WHISTLER, BC , March 22 2007 –
Couture lingerie and swimsuits don’t get much outdoor exposure in Whistler,
but that’s about to change with LG Electronics Canada’s Chocolate
Temptation fashion show.
Following the free opening concert on Friday 13 April by indie-rocker Sam Roberts,
the slope-side stage at the base of Whistler Mountain will be transformed into
a runway, and taken over by a host of temptresses modeling the latest couture
swimwear and lingerie from exclusive Montreal design-house, Shan.
Incorporated into the fashion shows, The LG Chocolate™ Flip competition
will showcase pro snowboarders with their air-injected interpretation of “Flip” style,
as part of the unveiling of the new TELUS Chocolate™ Flip Phone.
The extravaganza of eye-candy is bound to set pulses racing and temperatures
rising, kicking off Whistler’s biggest Festival with some serious temptation.
LG Electronics Canada have fused function with fashion with their recently
launched White Chocolate™ (LG 8500) phone and will take functional style
even further when they unveil the new LG Chocolate™ Flip (LG 8600) phone
at the Festival.
“The Chocolate phone series is the ultimate in mobile phone luxury,” said
Andrew Barrett, VP of Marketing for LG Electronics Canada, “so launching
the TELUS Chocolate Flip Phone in the style-savvy resort of Whistler is the perfect
marriage. We’re celebrating the fusion of technology, music, action
sports and fashion by bringing the Ultimate LG Experience to Canadians at a Festival
renowned for its fusion of sport, music and arts to celebrate personal style.”
To further sweeten the occasion, LG Electronics Canada is offering one lucky
fan the sheer decadence with the ‘Ultimate LG Whistler Experience’ contest
at www.LG.ca < http://www.LG.ca > and
on YouTube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW-ar9HVra8 .
The contest winner and a friend will receive airfare and three nights’ accommodation
at the world–renowned Festival, with VIP privileges for the opening night.
